Complete dental care for the entire family.
Quality Dental Care = Keep Your Smile for Life
Prevention is key to keeping small issues from becoming bigger (and expensive!) problems. Learn more about our family dental care services by clicking on the images below.
Along with your hygiene appointment, we’ll complete a comprehensive exam, including a thorough cleaning, periodontal evaluation, x-rays, oral cancer screening, intra-oral pictures, fluoride treatment (optional), and a doctor exam.
This in-depth assessment allows us to check your smile’s overall foundation and to uncover any issues before they become bigger and expensive problems. Based on our findings, Dr. Alexander will address any “fires” he may see with your smile and will discuss any of your goals or desires.
When it comes to family dental care, we take a comprehensive and preventative approach. This allows us to address minor issues before becoming big (and expensive!) problems down the road.
At a minimum, schedule a dental cleaning and checkup every six months to ensure your smile stays in top shape!
Our skilled hygienists are known for their gentle touch and high-quality work. We take the time to explain everything, so you always feel educated and empowered throughout the process.
Periodontal (gum) disease is a silent ailment that can damage your smile and overall health. If not treated at its early stage, it can result in bone and tooth loss. Additionally, your oral health is the gateway to your overall health, meaning gum disease is linked to other health concerns, including heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and much more.
This revelation makes it critical to catch the early signs of gum disease, including:
- Red, irritated, bleeding, or swollen gums
- Chronic bad breath
- Loose teeth or loss of teeth
- Extreme tooth sensitivity
- Receding gum line
- Abscessed teeth
If you have periodontal disease, we offer deep cleanings to remove the harmful bacteria below the gumline. Dr. Alexander may recommend you have deep cleanings every six months, or more often in advanced cases.
It’s vital to start incorporating healthy dental habits for your children from early on. Why? Because dental disease in children is five times more common than asthma (we’re not kidding).
Along with practicing brushing and flossing at home, taking your children to our friendly team will jump-start a positive experience for their dental futures.
We go above and beyond to ensure your kiddos are having a fun and relaxing experience and help them understand that taking care of their teeth will result in happy smiles for life.
Got tooth decay or a chipped tooth?
Fillings are a great solution, allowing us to restore the tooth and prevent any further damage. We proudly offer tooth-colored, metal-free fillings that look and feel like your natural teeth.
If you’re looking for a natural and easy solution to restore your teeth, contact our office today about tooth-colored fillings.
When a cavity reaches your tooth’s nerve, and the nerve becomes infected and filled with bacteria, a root canal is necessary to save your natural tooth.
Our doctor removes the pulp and all bacteria within the tooth to save it. Then, he fills the space with modern (and completely safe) dental material to restore your tooth to its full function.
Many dentists refer their patients to specialists for root canals, but in most cases, Dr. Alexander can perform your root canal right here in our office. This ensures you’re getting the complete care you deserve from start to finish.
While brushing and flossing every day is critical for a healthy mouth; it can be tough to get to your back molars, which are the chewing surfaces.
Sealants are thin, plastic coatings seamlessly placed on your teeth’s surfaces to cover all the grooves and pits on their surfaces. They are a great preventative solution for both children and adults because they keep the teeth’s surface smooth and protected from decay.
We understand extractions aren’t on the top of your priority list and they may even sound scary. However, they may be needed to keep your smile free from oral disease or if we need to prepare your smile for future procedures (orthodontics or dental implants).
No matter the reason for extraction, your smile is in good hands with our dentist in Greenville, SC. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Alexander will ensure your entire procedure is comfortable and pain-free. You’ll see the same face from start to finish, and our patients have even commented that they didn’t even feel the extraction happen.
We even remove wisdom teeth for teenagers!
What is SureSmile®…Click to read more about SureSmile…? If you want a straight smile but want to avoid metal braces, it is your solution.
Dr. Alexander is a proud preferred provider of SureSmile® aligners, a modern orthodontic solution that gets you a straight smile using a series of clear, removable aligner trays. Over time, these custom-crafted trays gently move your teeth into their ideal position.
This treatment is comfortable, convenient, and has a minimal impact on your everyday life. You can remove the aligners to eat your favorite foods, brush, and floss.
Are you experiencing headaches or soreness in your jaw? You may be grinding your teeth at night. This type of trauma can not only wear away tooth enamel, but it can cause future TMJ problems (hence the headaches). In turn, this can deteriorate your quality of life, but there is a solution!
Dr. Alexander can help with customized nightguards. These nightguards are durable, fit snugly around your teeth, and will protect your smile from the nightly grind.
A dental crown (also known as a cap) is needed when the tooth has suffered severe decay and fillings are not enough to save it. The best part, crowns can restore your tooth’s appearance, shape, alignment, and occlusion (bite).
Gone are the days where you endure the hassle of scheduling multiple appointments to restore your smile. At Swamp Rabbit Dental, we’re happy to provide CEREC®…Click to go to the CEREC® page… same-day crowns. Dr. Alexander can craft a gorgeous and durable crown for you in only one visit, usually in about an hour!
What does this mean for you?
